About Anne Von Ehr

Anne Von Ehr is a pastel painter based in Aurora, Illinois, working in soft and oil pastels.

Her subjects are the things close at hand and close to heart: the landscapes of the Fox Valley and beyond, quiet still lifes, and likenesses of the people she is asked to portray.

A member of the Pastel Society of America, Anne has earned Best of Show honors from the Naperville and DuPage art leagues, finalist recognition in The Pastel Journal’s Pastel 100 competition, and a residency at The Fields Project in Oregon, Illinois.

Anne is also a generous teacher. “My workshops put emphasis on experimentation and the value of information,” she says — she gives students the tools to follow their own creative vision. She teaches workshops throughout the year for art leagues and guilds across the region.
