Pastel Workshops

Anne Von Ehr teaches workshops throughout the year. A gifted teacher, Anne encourages her students to follow their own creative vision by giving them the tools to do so. “My workshops put emphasis on experimentation and the value of information.”

Workshops offered include: Beginning Pastel, Advanced Technique, Painting the Landscape Plein Air, Painting Landscape from Photos, and Composition, A Matter of Choices.

Composition, A Matter of Choices:

You have to know the rules in order to break them! Learn basic composition and how to solve compositional problems using value, movement, balance and harmony. These basic principles are useful in landscape, still life or abstract artwork. Anne encourages you to follow your own vision, while giving you the tools to do so. Special attention will be given to working from photos.
Levels: Beginning to Advanced students will benefit from this class.

Color, Color, Color

Don't be afraid of color. Learn to use it to add light and imagination to your pastel paintings. This workshop explains basic color theory and important knowledge that every artist needs to understand. Lectures and demonstrations, plus plenty of individual help at your easel.
